A pleasant, easy read. If you’re an animal lover, prepare for some heartbreak. The characters struggle to see what’s right in front of them, thereby causing their own hardships. However, the book reminds us that the path to self-improvement is worth it. The book has a peaceful ending that may leave you sad but hopeful about humans and their abilities to change. As we don’t love sad books, one less star than a full five.
