It Ends With Us is about falling in love and recognizing when to walk away. The book attempts to capture how love can be beautiful and destructive at the same time. This novel endeavors to blend romance with a message of empowerment—but ends up caught in an awkward space between a love story and a cautionary tale, without doing either particularly well. It missed the mark.
