Dracula
Ouch. This one was touch to get through, even on audio book. It’s a slog, not a spine-tingler, because the book crawls by with unimportant details and side stories that add nothing to the plot. The portrayal of women borders on denigration, and if I have to hear about the female character’s “man brain” one more time I might lose it. This is a classic you can skip without losing sleep, though it’s also not scary enough to cause lost sleep if you do decide to wade through this swamp of a book.
